About the Role

Head Mining

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and manage mining operations across multiple sites.
• Oversee OB Removal and MDO project activities to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
• Handle end-to-end mine operations, including planning, scheduling, production, and resource allocation.
• Ensure adherence to government norms, mining regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Oversee mine project costing, budgeting, and execution support across all sites.
• Manage mine machinery and equipment, rental operations, and costing review.
• Lead and mentor site teams, ensuring high performance and operational discipline.
• Coordinate with government authorities, stakeholders, contractors, and internal leadership.
• Prepare periodic operational reports, assess performance, and implement process improvement measures.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory guidelines at all times.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field.

• First Class Coal Mining Certificate is mandatory.

• Minimum

  20 years of experience

  in:
• OB Removal projects
• MDO project execution
• Mine project costing and planning
• Handling mining machinery, equipment, rental, procurement, and cost control
• Strong understanding of

  government norms

  and mining regulations.
• Must have prior experience in

  managing a mine independently

  .

Location & Work Eligibility

• Candidates must have

  prior working experience in Jharkhand or Odisha

  .

• Domestic mining experience is mandatory

  (international experience alone will not be considered).
