Manager Innovation

You will play a crucial role in the transformation of Patient Safety and Pharmacovigilance (PS&PV) into a future-driven organization and an enterprise-level enabler of the overall Development and Novartis strategy. Your primary responsibility will be to provide project management expertise to key PS&PV projects, ensuring the successful execution of project activities. Your major accountabilities will include contributing to the development of the long-term PS&PV technology roadmap, being curious and leveraging internal and external technologies to foster innovation within PS&PV, identifying regulatory, market, and digitalization trends, evaluating innovative vendors and technologies, and executing or contributing to innovation projects in alignment with the roadmap. Additionally, you will lead or contribute to major projects as an Innovation lead, identify appropriate technologies and partners, introduce new technologies to the organization, and drive change management and innovation culture within PS&PV. Furthermore, you will work towards building trust within the organization, being the preferred innovation partner for the business, and enhancing PS&PV operational excellence through process improvements. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure visibility of PS&PV innovation activities and provide project leadership and management support to key projects while promoting best practices in projects and initiatives. Your performance will be measured based on the satisfaction of business and technology stakeholders, contribution to key enterprise projects with safety relevance, timely and high-quality delivery of projects within budget, and broad involvement in innovation activities within PS&PV. To be considered for this role, you should have 4-5 years of Pharmacovigilance experience in Life Sciences or Information Technology, fluency in spoken and written English, knowledge of systems and regulations, experience in technology innovation, project management, and modern system and data architecture principles. Additionally, you should have a passion for challenging the status quo and possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
