Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and guidelines that align with local, national, and international regulations.
Ensure the company complies with all relevant safety and environmental laws and standards, staying updated on legislative changes.
Support EHS managers in daily activities to ensure compliance and safe working conditions.

Risk management and safety

Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace.
Develop and implement strategies to mitigate and control identified risks.
Perform regular inspections of equipment, machinery, and safety systems (e.g., fire alarms, sprinklers) to ensure they are in good working order.
Monitor work permits and site activities to ensure safety protocols are followed.

Training and communication

Develop and deliver EHS training programs for all employees, including new hires and contractors.
Conduct safety inductions for workers, often in coordination with project managers.
Educate employees and management on EHS policies and procedures.

Incident and emergency response

Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
Maintain systems for incident reporting and documentation.
Assist in developing and implementing emergency preparedness and response plans.

Environmental management

Support environmental initiatives like waste management, pollution prevention, and sustainability efforts.
Oversee environmental impact reduction programs to ensure the company operates in an environmentally responsible manner.

Auditing and reporting

Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to check for compliance.
Maintain comprehensive EHS-related records and documentation.
Prepare EHS reports for management and regulatory authorities.
