Job Description

As a Financial Controller at LCH Ltd, your role is crucial in maintaining accurate books and records for the entity and ensuring best practices in financial control processes. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage the day-to-day operations of the LCH Treasury Finance team - Ensure Business As Usual (BAU) with a high degree of accuracy and delivered on time - Lead the month-end close process, reconciling the P&L for the LCH Treasury desk to the middle office flash and ensuring the balance sheet is fully substantiated - Complete quarterly regulatory returns and deliver within set timelines - Maintain appropriate internal controls consistently - Take a leading role in internal and external financial audits - Evaluate risks in Treasury finance processes, implement process improvements, and drive standardization and efficiency - Collaborate with Group Finance on group-wide finance initiatives impacting LCH Ltd - Work closely with finance business partners and other stakeholders from the business as appropriate - Handle other ad-hoc financial reporting processes as required **Key Relationships:** - LCH Ltd Financial Controller - CFO of LCH Ltd - Finance Business Partners - Collateral Operations - CaLM front office - Second-line risk teams - External and Internal Auditors **Technical/Professional Skills & Competencies:** *Essential Skills* - Relevant professional accounting qualification with a minimum of 5 years PQE - Extensive experience in financial control - Ability to work efficiently and meet pre-defined deadlines - Strong analytical, written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills - Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively - Track record of process improvement and problem-solving - Self-driven, self-motivated with a positive attitude and an accountability mindset *Desired Skills* - Background in global financial markets, infrastructure, and risk management services - Knowledge of financial products such as bonds and repurchase agreements (repos) LSEG, a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data provider, aims to drive financial stability, empower economies, and enable customers to create sustainable growth.
