Key Responsibilities

The Manager, eLearning Development will lead the design, development, and implementation of online training programs and digital learning solutions. This role will manage a team of eLearning developers responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging, and effective eLearning experiences for Tekion products.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in the eLearning development space, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for delivering best in class eLearning experiences.

  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of eLearning developers, fostering a culture of

innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Project Leadership: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of eLearning projects, from needs analysis, design, development to deployment and evaluation. Track progress using tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal/external stakeholders to assess training needs, define learning objectives, and ensure solutions align with product/organizational strategy.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all eLearning content meets development best practices, accessibility standards, and brand guidelines. Establish and enforce development standards, and scalable development processes.
  • Technology Oversight: Evaluate and implement appropriate learning technologies, such as authoring tools and multimedia platforms.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Track and report on key metrics and KPIs.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • 13+ years of experience in eLearning development, with at least 5+ years managing medium to large eLearning development teams.
  • Proven experience in managing complex eLearning projects.
  • Expertise in authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms.
  • Strong experience in developing SCORM/xAPI-compliant eLearning solutions.
  • Knowledge of gamification, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), or other emerging eLearning technologies.
  • Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0) and designing for diverse learners.
  • Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for eLearning customization and development.
  • Strong understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle, Blackboard, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent knowledge of instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning principles.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Superior project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
