Manager Design (R&D) -- For Automitivwe (Shirwal)

Role & responsibilities

• Lead design engineering, development, and extension of hydraulic fittings, valves, and mechatronic systems.

• Drive new product development (NPD) and oversee the entire product lifecycle, from concept to commercialization.

• Research and implement advanced materials, automation, and digital hydraulics to enhance product performance.

• Optimize existing designs to improve efficiency, durability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Collaborate with OEM customers to develop customized solutions based on technical specifications.

• Manage hydraulic system integration, including sensor-based monitoring, control technologies, and smart solutions.

• Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation to ensure high performance and compliance with ISO, SAE, and industry regulations.

• Guide design optimization for manufacturability, sustainability, and cost reduction.

• Develop and implement design engineering best practices to streamline R&D efficiency.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

• Proficiency in CAD/CAE software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Ansys, MATLAB, etc.) for design engineering.

• Strong knowledge of hydraulic circuits, fluid power control, electro-hydraulic systems, and mechatronics.

• Experience in failure analysis, testing, validation, and compliance with industry regulations.

• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and DFMEA methodologies.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills with a track record of mentoring and developing talent.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and drive innovation in a fast-paced,collaborative environment.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Fluid Power Engineering, or a related field.

• 9-15 yrs years of experience in R&D, with expertise in hydraulics, fittings, mechatronics, and system development.

• Proficiency in CAD/CAE software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Ansys, MATLAB, etc.) for design engineering.

• Strong knowledge of hydraulic circuits, fluid power control, electro-hydraulic systems, and mechatronics.

• Experience in failure analysis, testing, validation, and compliance with industry regulations.
