What are the Key Deliverables in this role
Financial Outcomes
- To manage warehouse and secondary freight management for foods & beverages categories for the respective region.
- To explore opportunities for cost optimization mechanisms- negotiation of cost & freight expenses, management of overheads at warehouses Warehouse operations cost, packaging charges per MT, primary freight charges per MT, Secondary freight charges per kg for foods and beverages category including for NPDs for the respective region.
- Data analytics ability to optimize processes and enhance efficiency.
Customer Service
- To drive PDP and Routing at CFAs in the region whilst following up with Pending Orders, TAT adherence, OTIF, 95% + Fill Rates for all SKUs.
- To maintain secondary Transportation Master Data, Freight Rates, Routes, Distance etc. on Excel, SAP, and Transportation Management System that quality standards are being maintained while ensuring production volume as per the production volume.
- To drive the Depot SOPs and put in control mechanisms to ensure compliance, design and implement Depot Payment structure, Depot Audits.
Internal Processes

Warehouse Operations
: Warehouse Management of Foods & Beverages for respective region. - To ensure the production of tata salt as per the sales plan for CFAs in the region.

Secondary Freight
: To manage Secondary Transportation (Depot to Stuckists) & driving efficiencies across locations, Route planning & selection of the right truck type for the region. - Ensure all CFAs operate in full compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure adherence to FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management) standards at all CFA locations.
Innovation and Learning
- Foster Innovation in process optimization by tracking and driving Performance metrics e.g., Indent Vs Placement, Truck Utilization, Transit Time Adherence, Shortage/ Damages Index etc.
- Drive sustainability projects at CFAs in the region, including adoption of solar energy and electric vehicles.
What are the Critical success factors for the Role
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years prior experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, with a strong focus on Foods & Beverages.
- Hands-on expertise in warehouse operations and secondary freight management is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders effectively, including leadership of Carrying & Forwarding Agents (CFAs) within the region.
- Proficient in SAP and MS Office applications, with advanced-level skills required.

- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, with hands-on experience in optimizing production processes and workflows.
