Manager, Data Steward

We have an opportunity for a Manager, Data Steward in Bangalore, reporting to the Senior Director, Operations. In this role, you will champion data integrity and empower your team to deliver reliable, actionable insights that drive business growth and supports strategic decisions. You will drive initiatives that ensure the integrity, consistency, and governance of account data in Salesforce.com, while mentoring your team to follow best practices and compliance standards. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that support business objectives.

Be a Contributor What You ll Do


  • Oversee the maintenance of the Account Master in Salesforce.com, ensuring data accuracy and completeness

  • Manage validation and updates of account names and addresses

  • Establish and maintain account hierarchy, including parent/child relationships and coordination of account merge request with key stakeholders

  • Supervise the assignment of sales designations and account segments

  • Ensure accurate account ownership records and governance

  • Manage Dun & Bradstreet identification for all accounts

  • Establish and execute SLAs for reviewing escalations, auditing data quality, and resolving exceptions

  • Oversee the process for new account requests, including approvals and rejections in alignment with business rules

  • Maintain and refine standard operating procedures, including business rules, data models, definitions, and policies to support clean, repeatable, and reportable data

  • Develop and uphold reporting frameworks for sales leadership and field teams

  • Ensure enterprise data is accurate, trusted, and governed through agentic AI systems, while bringing expertise in stewardship that balances innovation with compliance

Be Prepared What You Bring


  • 10+ years management experience in high tech industry/SaaS company, Sales Operations ,or similar role preferred

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient, with a proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively

  • Proven passion for data stewardship with experience governing large-scale datasets

  • Stewardship expertise and foresight to unlock AI value while safeguarding integrity and compliance

  • Deep understanding of data management principles, business rules, and data modeling

  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a team

  • Experience working with Salesforce.com and familiarity with account management processes

  • Ability to collaborate with sales leadership, field teams, and cross-functional partners

Be Successful Your Path

First 90 Days:


  • Immerse in our culture, connect with mentors, and map the systems and stakeholders that rely on your work

Six Months:


  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across cross-functional teams, gaining a clear understanding of their roles and impact within the company

  • Stabilize and standardize Data Steward Operations by assigning clear responsibility, documenting SOPs for account validation, hierarchy management, and new account requests

  • Establish baseline data quality metrics and define KPIs to support the first data quality dashboard//report

  • Roll out at least one process improvement or automation to reduce manual work or improve turnaround time

One Year:


  • Deliver measurable data quality improvements against KPIs, with quarterly scorecards

  • Build and mentor a high-performing data steward team, implementing succession plans and cross training to mitigate any single points of failure

  • Become the recognized global point of contact for account master governance, leading at least one global initiative (ie: hierarchy redesign, D&B integration optimization, data governance council participation) that improves the enterprise-wide account data foundation
