What you'll be doing:
The IT Security Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the security of enterprise IT infrastructure by developing and enforcing security policies, managing Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, and overseeing assurance controls. The role requires expertise in cybersecurity, cloud security, and risk management, along with experience in security tools and frameworks.
Responsibilities:
Develop, review, and enforce IT security policies and assurance controls.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Conduct risk assessments and security audits.
Oversee SOC operations and manage incident response.
Implement and monitor security solutions such as SIEM, EDR, WAF, and VA tools.
Lead phishing awareness programs and implement email security measures.
Secure cloud environments, including O365 and Azure Security.
Implement security best practices for cloud technology platforms.
Ensure effective Disaster Recovery (DR) planning.
Manage and enhance PAM, IAM, and SSO security frameworks.
Ensure effective data classification and DLP strategies.
Technical/Functional Competencies:
Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS)
Hands-on experience with SOC management and threat intelligence
Expertise in security tools: SIEM, EDR, WAF, VA, IAM, PAM
Cloud security expertise (Azure Security, O365, AWS/GCP knowledge is a plus)
Knowledge of phishing defense mechanisms and email security protocols
Proficiency in security incident handling and response
Education:
B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
Experience:
5-8 years in IT Security, with hands-on experience in SOC management, cloud security, and IT assurance controls.
