Manager - Costing & MIS

As a Cost Accountant, your primary responsibility will be to manage product costing, budgeting, forecasting, MIS reporting, reconciliation, profit analysis, variance analysis, cost audit, compliance, and SAP CO module management. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely product costing by incorporating material, labour, and overhead costs. This involves analyzing and validating cost estimates, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and routings to maintain updated standard costing. Collaborating with all departments, you will prepare and coordinate annual and monthly budgets, monitor actual performance against budget, and assist in rolling forecasts based on business inputs. Your role will also involve designing and implementing dashboards and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for performance tracking, as well as providing timely and accurate monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports. Additionally, you will be responsible for reconciling accounting profit with costing profit, supporting month-end closing activities related to cost accounting, and performing detailed variance analysis for material, labour, and overhead costs. Identifying root causes for variances, coordinating with respective departments for explanations, and ensuring proper accounting/posting of variances in SAP will be key aspects of your role. Furthermore, you will prepare cost records and documentation for cost audit, coordinate with cost auditors, and ensure compliance with statutory cost accounting standards. Managing SAP CO module, including master data maintenance, BOM maintenance, standard costing of routings, and reporting, will also be within your purview. Collaborating with IT/SAP teams to drive automation and improvements in costing processes will be essential. To excel in this role, you should hold an ICWA qualification and possess over 10 years of post-qualification experience. Your expertise in cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, MIS reporting, reconciliation, variance analysis, cost audit, compliance, and SAP CO module management will be instrumental in contributing to the financial health and performance of the organization.,
