We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Manager – Application PPD (Service) to join our team in the Pharmaceutical Machinery industry, with a specific focus on compression machines (tablet presses). This pivotal role supports Planning and Production Development (PPD) by ensuring efficient service operations, seamless customer support, and continuous improvement in machine performance and reliability.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharma compression machinery, combined with a hands-on approach to managing service teams, handling customer AMCs, resolving technical issues, and supporting spare parts business. You will play a key role in driving customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and support day-to-day service operations related to pharmaceutical compression machinery.

Lead and manage field service teams, ensuring prompt and efficient handling of service calls and on-site support.

Manage Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) – execution, follow-ups, renewals, and service performance tracking.

Prepare and maintain detailed Service MIS reports, documentation, and customer service records.

Identify and convert AMC and service leads into spare parts business opportunities.

Act as the primary escalation point for customer complaints, ensuring timely resolution and high service quality.

Guide, train, and mentor service and production support staff.

Coordinate closely with the production and quality teams to ensure equipment meets customer expectations and compliance standards.

Monitor and adjust service workflows and schedules to align with production goals and customer requirements.

Continuously identify and implement process improvements in service delivery and machine uptime.

Ensure strict adherence to GMP, safety standards, and service protocols.

Report on key service and operational metrics to senior management on a regular basis.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.

8–10 years of experience in service or production management, preferably in pharma machinery (compression segment).

In-depth knowledge of tablet compression machines, their installation, maintenance, and operational challenges.

Proven experience managing AMCs, field service operations, and spare parts planning.

Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to drive performance.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and cross-functional teams.

Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and service management tools.
