Manager, Advanced Analytics

As an Analyst at Novartis, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and contributing to the development of analytical solutions/products based on Pipeline Commercial Strategy, Patient analytics, Launch effectiveness, and Performance tracking. Your role will involve understanding Global Pharma Market dynamics using various healthcare related databases. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver projects and manage stakeholder expectations for Novartis pipeline products commercial strategy. - Act as an individual contributor, handle multiple projects, and mentor a small team of Analysts/Senior Analysts. - Deliver advanced analytical solutions for quantification of patient journey, forecast assumptions validation, and other ad-hoc business questions. - Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to extract insights from complex APLD data sets and identify patterns and trends. - Support exploratory research to identify new areas of application of advanced analytics for decision-making support. - Follow a structured project management approach with appropriate documentation and communication throughout the project delivery cycle. - Assist in creating and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality checklists (QCs) for excellent quality outputs. - Contribute to developing and maintaining knowledge repositories capturing qualitative and quantitative reports to support decision-making. - Support team leaders in recruitment and on-boarding of new associates. - Participate in knowledge sharing sessions to enable growth and improve the quality of deliverables. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize value. - Adhere to all internal functional operating procedures and Novartis operating procedures as per legal/IT/HR requirements. Ideal Requirements: Education: - Postgraduate (or Graduate from a top-tier university) in a quantitative discipline, technology, life sciences, or management. Work Experience: - 6+ years of experience in advanced analytics for pharma commercial strategy. - 3+ years of relevant experience in patient analytics, especially within early product or launch strategy. - Experience in the pharma industry or pharma consulting is essential. Technical Skills: - Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python. - Knowledge of patient-level datasets (APLD) and various other healthcare databases. - Proficiency in MS-Office, especially Advanced MS Excel & PowerPoint. - Familiarity with BI tools such as PowerBI, QlikSense, and Tableau is advantageous. Functional Skills: - Strong quantitative background and analytical thinking with a problem-solving approach. - Effective stakeholder management skills and experience in international companies and cross-cultural environments. - Proactive business results focus with the ability to provide productivity-enhancing insights. Soft Skills: - Project Management skills. - Storyboarding and Storytelling abilities. - Interpersonal and Communication Skills. - Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment. - Dynamic and result-oriented team player.
