Manager, Advanced Analytics

You will be responsible for conceptualizing and contributing to the development of analytical solutions/products based on Pipeline Commercial Strategy, Patient analytics, Launch effectiveness, and Performance tracking. You will need to have an understanding of Global Pharma Market dynamics using various healthcare-related databases. Your role will involve utilizing data analysis on internal and third-party data to support decision-making for Novartis Strategy & Growth business unit. **Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:** - Deliver projects and manage stakeholder expectations for Novartis pipeline products commercial strategy. - Act as an individual contributor and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Mentor and lead a small team of Analysts/Senior Analysts in project delivery. - Develop advanced analytical solutions for projects related to quantification of patient journey, informing & validating forecast assumptions, and addressing ad-hoc business questions. - Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to extract insights from complex datasets and identify patterns and trends. - Support exploratory research to identify new applications of advanced analytics for enhanced decision-making support. - Adhere to a structured project management approach with appropriate documentation and communication throughout project delivery cycle. - Assist in creating and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality checklists (QCs) for ensuring excellent quality outputs within the function. - Support in the development and maintenance of knowledge repositories capturing qualitative and quantitative reports of therapy areas, diseases, Novartis & external brands, and macroeconomic trends. - Assist team leaders in recruitment and onboarding of new associates. - Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions to enable growth and improve the quality of deliverables across the function. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize value. - Ensure compliance with internal functional operating procedures, time tracking, KPI tracking and reporting, and other internal systems and processes. - Adhere to all Novartis operating procedures as per legal/IT/HR requirements. **Ideal Requirements:** - **Education:** Postgraduate (or Graduate from a top-tier university) in quantitative discipline, technology, life sciences, or management. - **Work Experience:** 6+ years of experience in advanced analytics for pharma commercial strategy, with 3+ years of relevant experience in patient analytics. - **Technical:** Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python. Knowledge of patient-level datasets such as Open & Closed Claims, EHR/EMR, Hospital datasets, etc. Proficiency in MS-Office (Advanced MS Excel & PowerPoint); familiarity with BI tools such as PowerBI, QlikSense, and Tableau. - **Functional:** Strong quantitative background, analytical thinking, stakeholder management skills, and experience in international companies and cross-cultural environments. - **Soft Skills:** Proficient in Project Management, Storyboarding, Storytelling, Interpersonal and Communication Skills, and ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment. *Note: The job description provided includes information on the responsibilities, qualifications, and expectations for the role at Novartis.*,
