Job Description

  • Job Description- Maintainer Position
  • Carryout preventive maintenance of rolling stock and depot equipment as per laid
  • down guidelines and schedules of Maintenance.
  • Follow the team lead instructions while carrying out the preventive maintenance of
  • Rolling stock and Depot Machinery & Plant (M&P).
  • Available to work in 3 shifts on rotational basis (Morning, Evening and Night).
  • Follow depot safety procedures during the maintenance work.
  • Shall be punctual and strictly adhere to the shift start timings.
  • Shall work in coordination with all the team members and be a good team player.
  • Comply to the maintenance instructions defined in the maintenance procedures and
  • check sheets.
  • Strictly follow the maintenance standards.
  • Shall undergo training as and when necessary to perform the additional maintenance
  • activities.
  • Put best efforts to complete the maintenance services within the maximum allowable
  • completion time
  • If any issue is found during the service check, notify immediately to the team lead.
  • Wear the proper ID badge, uniform, helmet, safety shoes, other appropriate PPE, and
  • do not indulge in practices in violation of the safety procedures laid out by the client.
  • Ensure the quality of workmanship so as to prevent any depot or depot/main line
  • detention or late start or loss of punctuality of trains whatsoever do not arise out of
  • poor workmanship.
  • Ensure that stipulated procedures and safety procedures are followed during the
  • course of maintenance.
  • Ensure the materials, tools etc., including those required for the work being executed
  • in the train-set are being kept in an orderly manner and shall ensure removal of any
  • debris and other materials before the work completion
  • Operate the wheel turning machine, Auto wash plant, Pit jacks, Cranes, Fork lift etc.
  • Shall be able to operate the heavy vehicle inside the depot.
  • Operate the vehicles such as RRM (Rail Road Machine) etc.
