Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

Role & Supervision and Management: Oversee and direct the work of maintenance technicians and other staff. Hire, train, and evaluate maintenance personnel. Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures. Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies. Address performance issues and resolve problems within the team. Maintenance Planning and Execution: Develop and manage maintenance schedules and work orders. Prioritize and assign maintenance tasks based on urgency and skill levels. Inspect facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and recommend repairs. Coordinate with vendors and contractors for equipment repairs and installations. Monitor and manage inventory of spare parts and supplies. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and identify root causes. Develop and implement solutions to maintenance problems. Ensure that repairs are performed accurately and efficiently. Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and repair costs. Prepare reports on maintenance performance and costs. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in maintenance processes and equipment. Recommend and implement changes to enhance efficiency and reliability. Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with relevant environmental, health & safety, and labor regulations. Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols. responsibilities Preferred candidate profile Education and Experience: A relevant technical diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering is often preferred. Experience in a manufacturing setting, particularly with plastic and rubber production, is highly valued. Prior supervisory experience in a maintenance or production environment is also desirable.
