Description
As a Production and Maintenance Manager at our dynamic engineering startup, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operation and maintenance of our automatic chain assembly lines and sharpening machines. Your responsibilities will include: - **Production Management:** - Manage and supervise the daily operation of automatic chain assembly lines and sharpening machines to meet production targets and customer specifications. - Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring optimal workflow and resource utilization. - Collaborate closely with engineering and design teams to optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and enhance product quality. - **Maintenance Oversight:** - Establish and execute preventive maintenance programs for assembly lines and sharpening machines to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan. - Conduct regular inspections, diagnose equipment issues, and coordinate timely repairs and adjustments. - Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among production and maintenance staff. - **Team Leadership and Development:** - Lead and mentor production and maintenance teams, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. - Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages innovation, accountability, and continuous learning. - Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement strategies to optimize team productivity and efficiency. - **Quality Assurance:** - Implement rigorous quality control measures and inspection procedures to uphold product standards and meet customer expectations. - Investigate and resolve quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions. - **Reporting and Analysis:** - Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production output, equipment reliability, maintenance activities, and quality metrics. - Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management review, highlighting achievements, challenges, and improvement opportunities. **Requirements:** - Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. (Or equivalent practical experience.) - Proven experience (X years) in production management and maintenance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in chain manufacturing or related industries. - Strong technical knowledge of automatic chain assembly processes, sharpening machines, and industrial manufacturing equipment. - Proficiency in preventive maintenance strategies, troubleshooting techniques, and root cause analysis. - Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, foster collaboration, and drive operational excellence. - Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners. - Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities in a startup environment. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience with startup environments or agile manufacturing practices. - Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems for production planning and inventory management. - Certifications in production management, maintenance, or related fields.
