Maintenance Head

Role & responsibilities

A. Maintenance Planning & Execution

• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance schedules.
  
• Ensure timely execution of maintenance plans to reduce downtime.
  
• Oversee electrical, mechanical, and utility maintenance across all plants.
  
• Maintain updated maintenance SOPs and documentation.
  

B. Equipment Reliability & Performance

• Monitor machine performance KPIs: MTTR, MTBF, breakdown frequency, uptime, and energy usage.
  
• Identify chronic issues and implement long-term corrective actions.
  
• Drive improvements in asset reliability and lifecycle management.
  

C. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Lead a team of maintenance engineers, technicians, and supervisors.
  
• Plan manpower allocation for multi-plant operations (Metoda & Kuvadva).
  
• Coordinate with production, quality, and safety teams for smooth operations.
  
• Manage contractors, vendors, and AMC service partners.
  

D. Safety, Compliance & Audits

• Ensure maintenance activities comply with statutory norms (electrical safety, equipment safety, fire safety).
  
• Maintain and update risk assessments, safety checklists, and machine guarding compliance.
  
• Handle audits: ISO, safety audits, compliance inspections.
  
• Implement LOTO, permit-to-work systems, and ensure zero-incident culture.
  

E. Utilities Management

• Oversee uninterrupted functioning of utilitiesboilers, compressors, DG sets, HVAC, chillers, water systems, ETP/STP.
  
• Monitor energy consumption and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  
• Ensure calibration and statutory compliance of utility equipment.
  

F. Budgeting & Cost Control

• Prepare and monitor the annual maintenance budget.
  
• Control spare consumption, inventory levels, and procurement.
  
• Review and negotiate AMC, service contracts, and vendor agreements.
  

G. Projects, Upgrades & Capex

• Lead installation, commissioning, and expansion of new equipment.
  
• Evaluate capex proposals and handle technical assessments.
  
• Support continuous improvement and modernization of plant equipment.
