Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Maintenance & Repair

Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of press shop machines (mechanical presses, pneumatic systems, feeders, and conveyors).

Perform troubleshooting of mechanical faults in press machines, Replace, align, and fit guide pins, bushes, bearings, shafts, gears, clutches, flywheels, and couplings ensure quick response to machine breakdowns and minimize downtime.

Analysis the breakdown failure and take effective action at root cause side.

2. Fitting & Alignment

Conduct proper fitting, alignment, and adjustment of mechanical press machines. Set and maintain press clearances, stroke settings, and alignment to ensure precision in stamping operations. Ensure safety devices and guards are correctly fitted after maintenance work.

3. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

Follow the preventive maintenance schedule (PMS) for press shop equipment. Inspect machines regularly to identify wear and tear before failure. Maintain proper lubrication of moving parts and ensure adherence to machine care standards. Maintain maintenance breakdown reports, and checklists.

Maintain safety stock of spare parts as per defined criteria .

4. Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with safety standards during repair and maintenance work. Follow Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedure during major repair/overhaul. Report unsafe practices or equipment defects immediately.

Work closely with production supervisors, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations.

Basic press maintenance and safe handling practices.

Hands-on knowledge of press machines, stamping dies, pneumatics, and mechanical presses.

Ability to work in shifts and handle emergency breakdowns.

5-Documents:

Maintain the documents as per IATF and MACE.

6-Others

Good communication skill in Hindi or English

Manage 3-to-4-person team easily.
