Maintenance Engineer

As a skilled Maintenance Technician specializing in CNC machines, you will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of CNC machines such as Turning, Milling, VMC, HMC, etc. Your tasks will involve diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and control issues through the use of diagnostic tools and schematics. You will need to maintain and troubleshoot CNC controls including popular systems like Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Heidenhain, among others. In this role, it will be crucial for you to inspect, calibrate, and replace faulty components to ensure optimal equipment performance. Keeping detailed documentation of machine histories, maintenance schedules, and breakdown reports will be an essential part of your responsibilities. By supporting production activities, you will play a key role in reducing machine downtime and enhancing overall machine reliability. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will need to coordinate with vendors and OEMs for critical repairs and spare parts management. Ensuring compliance with safety standards and maintenance protocols is imperative to maintain a safe working environment. Additionally, your involvement in continuous improvement initiatives will be vital to increase equipment efficiency and reliability. To qualify for this role, you should possess a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering along with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in CNC machine maintenance. A strong knowledge of CNC machine operations and control systems, including systems like Fanuc and Siemens, is required. The ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and diagrams is essential. Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), 5S methodology, and preventive maintenance practices will be beneficial. Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCs is also preferred.
