Maintenance Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the

  day-to-day maintenance of all school infrastructure

  , including classrooms, laboratories, hostels, administrative buildings, playgrounds, and common areas.
• Oversee

  operation and maintenance of electrical, civil, plumbing, HVAC, firefighting, DG sets, water pumps, and other utility systems

  across the campus.
• Prepare and implement

  preventive and predictive maintenance schedules

  to ensure uninterrupted functioning of all facilities and equipment.
• Lead and supervise a team of

  technicians, electricians, plumbers, and housekeeping staff

  , ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
• Coordinate with

  school administration, facility, and housekeeping departments

  for smooth daily operations and event readiness.
• Manage and monitor

  AMC vendors, service providers, and facility management contractors

  , ensuring quality service delivery and cost optimization.
• Supervise

  installation, repair, and maintenance

  of new or existing systems such as CCTV, PA systems, classroom projectors, and fire alarms.
• Ensure strict

  compliance with safety standards, fire norms, statutory regulations, and child safety guidelines

  within the campus.
• Conduct

  regular inspections, audits, and safety drills

  to maintain a secure and efficient school environment.
• Handle

  breakdown maintenance and root cause analysis

  , minimizing downtime of critical systems.
• Maintain

  records of maintenance logs, checklists, vendor reports, and inspection documentation

  for management review.
• Coordinate for

  annual maintenance of classrooms, building repairs, painting, plumbing, and electrical upgrades

  during school vacations.

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualification:

  Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering

• Experience:

  Minimum

  15-20 years

  in

  Maintenance / Facility Management

  , preferably in

  schools, universities, or institutional campuses.

• Industry Preference:

  Educational Institutions, Facility Management, Real Estate (Institutional Projects)
• Should have

  handled large school or university campuses

  independently.
• Strong knowledge of

  child safety standards, fire & safety protocols, and statutory compliance

  applicable to educational environments.
• Must have experience in

  team management, vendor coordination, and multi-building facility operations.

• Excellent

  leadership, planning, and communication skills.

• Ability to

  prioritize maintenance tasks

  , manage crises, and ensure a safe and functional environment for students and staff.
