If you have 7+ years of expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and z/OS, this opportunity is for you!.We're actively looking for immediate joiners who can contribute to mission-critical enterprise systems from Day 1.Mainframe Developer.

Position Overview

A Mainframe Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications and systems that run on mainframe computers.This role involves working with legacy systems, often using programming languages like COBOL to ensure the stability and efficiency of critical business operations.In this role, it is critical to be able to communicate effectively with other developers, project managers, and business analysts to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL.
  • Perform analysis, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of mainframe software applications.
  • Create technical documentation and user manuals to support mainframe applications.
  • Work closely with other developers, business partners, and stakeholders to facilitate technical design, decision-making, problem-solving, implementation, and strategic planning.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in mainframe development.
  • Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for the design, build, implement, and stabilize phases of projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in mainframe application development using COBOL and other programming languages.
  • Strong knowledge of mainframe operating systems, such as z/OS and z/VSE.
  • Experience with tools such as CICS, JCL, VSAM, SAS, and DB2.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
