About the Role

Adobe Commerce (Magento 2)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain

  custom Magento 2 modules

  , plugins, and backend features
• Extend and customize core Magento functionalities (catalog, checkout, customer, sales, etc.)
• Integrate third-party systems (ERP, CRM, payment gateways, shipping APIs) via

  REST/GraphQL APIs

• Build and manage custom admin panel components and workflows
• Work on data import/export scripts, cron jobs, Magento CLI, and scheduled tasks
• Troubleshoot bugs and implement fixes in collaboration with QA and frontend teams
• Write clean, modular, well-documented code aligned with

  Magento 2 coding standards

• Participate in code reviews and follow version control workflows (Git)
• Ensure backend solutions are

  scalable, secure, and performant

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in

  Magento 2 backend development

• Strong command over

  PHP 7/8

  ,

  MySQL

  ,

  Composer

  , and Magento OOP architecture
• Deep understanding of Magento’s

  dependency injection

  ,

  observers

  ,

  plugins

  ,

  service contracts

  repositories

• Experience building and consuming

  REST and GraphQL APIs

• Magento 2 Certified Developer (Associate or Professional)
• Experience working in a B2B Magento environment
• Familiarity with Adobe Commerce (Enterprise Edition)
• Exposure to frontend templating (basic PHTML understanding)
• Familiar with

  version control

  (Git), staging workflows, and deployment best practices
• Good communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
