As a Logistics Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing all aspects of the supply chain logistics strategy and operations of the company. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and timely movement of goods, from raw materials to final product delivery while maintaining compliance with regulatory and quality standards. You are expected to be a strategic thinker with proven leadership skills and deep expertise in transportation, warehousing, and inventory management. Key Responsibilities and Duties: - Develop and implement an integrated logistics strategy to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize customer service levels. - Analyze supply chain data to identify bottlenecks, forecast future needs, and drive continuous improvement across all logistics functions. - Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehousing, transportation, and inventory accuracy. - Manage all inbound and outbound transportation operations, including carrier selection, contract negotiation, freight cost analysis, and route optimization. - Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring efficient material handling, storage, and inventory control using modern Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). - Ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment and distribution to meet service agreements and customer expectations. - Monitor and enforce compliance with all shipping regulations, customs requirements, and safety standards. Inventory and Systems: - Collaborate with Procurement and Sales teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize stockouts and excess inventory costs. - Manage the selection, implementation, and optimization of logistics software, including WMS, TMS, and ERP integrations. - Conduct regular physical inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure data integrity. Team Leadership: - Lead, mentor, and manage the logistics team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance reviews. - Promote a culture of safety, quality, and accountability within the logistics department. Required Qualifications and Skills: - Education: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. - Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in logistics, warehouse management, or supply chain roles, with at least 2 years in a management position. - Technical Proficiency: Expertise with major ERP systems, advanced knowledge of WMS, and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis. - Core Competencies: Ability to negotiate contracts, manage carrier relationships, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and in-depth knowledge of shipping regulations. Preferred Qualifications: - Masters degree in Supply Chain or Logistics. - Certification from recognized bodies (e.g., APICS CSCP, ISM CPSM). - Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies applied to logistics processes.
