Role Summary

The Logistics Manager will oversee global logistics operations from material dispatch in China and India to project sites in Africa. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth, cost-effective, and timely delivery of all equipment while coordinating with purchase, engineering, and project teams.

Role & responsibilities

• Plan and manage end-to-end logistics from supplier to project site.
• Coordinate shipments from China & India, including freight booking, customs clearance, and insurance.
• Supervise warehousing operations in India; make sure dispatch to Africa is timely.
• Build and maintain relationships with shipping agents, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
• Track shipment timelines, logistics costs, and KPIs.
• Resolve bottlenecks in transport, documentation, or port handling proactively.
• Align logistics schedules with project timelines in coordination with procurement and project managers.
• Ensure compliance with trade, import/export, and customs regulations.
• Take ownership of assorted day-to-day tasks, including coordination and liaison with suppliers, vendors, and external partners.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business.
• 5 to 10 years of experience managing international logistics or project shipping (preferably renewable/EPC sector).
• Deep knowledge of Incoterms, freight, warehousing, and customs processes.
• Strong communication and vendor coordination skills.
• Advanced Excel and familiarity with logistics tracking software.
• Should be open to travelling to ports, warehouses, and project sites for on-ground coordination
