Logistics Manager

Role Overview:

The Logistics & Dispatch Manager will be responsible for end-to-end logistics execution and dispatch planning for Ajays supply chain. The role covers factory dispatch operations, fleet management, distribution center (DC) stock planning, route optimization, compliance and team leadership. The manager ensures timely and cost-effective delivery of products while maintaining accurate stock visibility across DCs and drives efficiency and compliance standards across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and oversee daily dispatch operations (cold chain + dry vehicles) from the Navsari factory.

Manage fleet of in-house vehicles, ensuring uptime, compliance & cost efficiency.

Optimize loading sequence, vehicle allocation, delivery routes and monitor TAT (turnaround time) to DCs.

Coordinate with distribution centres to align stock planning, replenishment and dispatch schedules.

Monitor DC warehouse stock levels and plan timely replenishment to avoid stock outs/overstocking.

Coordinate with production, purchase and DC teams to align supply with demand.

Maintain vehicle documentation (RTO, insurance, PUC, fitness certificates).

Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene in logistics & warehouse operations (FSSAI, GMP).

Supervise and guide drivers, loaders, dispatch and DC logistics staff.

Track and control logistics & warehousing costs (cost/km, fuel, maintenance, rentals, storage).

Prepare and maintain MIS reports (dispatch vs plan, DC stock vs demand, vehicle utilization, cost analysis).

Implement process improvement initiatives for cost savings and efficiency across logistics and DC operations.

Knowledge of:

• Fleet operations, distribution, transport regulations & warehousing processes.
• Dispatch planning, inventory planning and warehouse coordination.
• Food industry logistics & compliance (cold chain, hygiene, FSSAI norms).
• ERP systems, GPS tracking and MS Excel reporting.
