Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Linux Server Administrator to join our infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in server management, virtualization platforms, automation, and cloud environments. This role involves supporting critical infrastructure, delivering high-quality support services, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver 3rd-level technical support in alignment with customer SLAs.
• Perform day-to-day compute operations including event, incident, service request, change request, and root cause analysis, adhering to ITIL processes.
• Handle server lifecycle tasks including installation, maintenance, monitoring, decommissioning, and special configurations outside automated workflows.
• Manage storage operations with NetApp NFS.
• Maintain OS images, manage repositories and packages.
• Execute patch management using BladeLogic Automation.
• Configure and roll out server monitoring and alert systems.
• Conduct performance tests and provide detailed analysis.
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues.
• Document services and tasks; contribute to quality management, testing, and knowledge transfer.
• Assist second-level support with complex issues.
• Participate in on-call rotations, including weekends or public holidays, as per project needs.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 4–8 years of hands-on experience in Linux server administration.
• Experience with physical and virtual server installation, maintenance, and decommissioning.
• Strong knowledge of Linux OS operations and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of hypervisors such as XEN and VMware.
• Proficient in LVM, DNS, LDAP, and IPTables.
• Experience in physical server management and monitoring.
• Basic exposure to public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Chef) and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Perl).
• Understanding of version control and ticketing tools such as GitHub and Jira.
