Job Description

As a Linux System Admin Level 2, your primary responsibility will be to provide support for our customer base, both directly and indirectly. This will involve interacting with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems in the Hosting Environment. Your major duties and responsibilities will include treating all customers professionally, handling technical support tickets from web hosting customers, supporting the roll-out of new applications, providing client support and technical issue resolution via email, phone, and other electronic mediums, troubleshooting various technical issues customers may face with their web hosting services, and effectively managing multiple open tickets at once. In addition to these responsibilities, you will be expected to successfully complete other assigned duties and projects. To excel in this role, you should possess computer knowledge, good communication skills, and preferably a B.Tech degree. A Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification is preferred, and you should be willing to work in a 24*7 environment. Experience with Hosting Control Panels such as CPanel, WHM, and Plesk, as well as basic installation, server security, and server monitoring, is essential. You should have an excellent understanding of SMTP, HTTP, FTP, IMAP, POP, and Exim, along with the ability to install and modify Apache, Bind, DNS, PHP, MySQL, and Perl. Managing server backup and restore processes, DNS management, and troubleshooting web hosting and technical procedures are also key aspects of the role. Moreover, you must be able to work effectively in a team, adapt to a constantly changing environment, and follow instructions from supervisors and senior colleagues. Your confidence, passion, organizational skills, ability to multitask, and proficiency in using technology will be crucial in fulfilling your responsibilities. We are looking for a dependable individual with at least 3+ years of Level 2 experience in a similar role. The compensation package will be as per the candidate's eligibility, with a minimum service contract of one year.
