Linux System Admin Level 1

As a Linux System Admin Level 1, your primary responsibility will be to provide support to our customer base in a hosting environment. You will interact with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems while treating all customers with professionalism and respect. Your duties will include handling technical support tickets from web hosting customers, supporting the roll-out of new applications, and resolving client support and technical issues through various communication channels. You will troubleshoot technical issues related to web hosting services, prioritize and manage multiple open tickets simultaneously, and complete assigned duties and projects successfully. To excel in this role, you should have a strong computer knowledge, excellent communication skills, and preferably a B.Tech degree. A Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification is preferred, along with experience in working in a 24*7 environment and familiarity with Hosting Control Panels like CPanel/WHM/Plesk. You should also possess skills in server installation, security, monitoring, and management of services like Apache, Bind, DNS, PHP, MySQL, and Perl. Additionally, you must have a solid understanding of protocols such as SMTP, HTTP, FTP, IMAP, POP, and Exim, as well as experience in server backup/restore, DNS management, and troubleshooting web hosting procedures. Your ability to work well in a team, adapt to changing environments, follow instructions, and multitask will be crucial for success in this position. Moreover, you should be confident, passionate, dependable, and willing to work during assigned shifts. With at least 1+ years of experience in a similar role, you will be eligible for a competitive CTC package based on your qualifications and a minimum one-year service contract.
