Linux System Admin Level 1

As a Linux System Admin Level 1 at our company, you will be responsible for providing support to our customer base, both directly and indirectly. Your role will involve interacting with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems in the Hosting Environment. Key Responsibilities: - Treat all customers in a professional and respectful manner - Handle technical support tickets from web hosting customers - Support the roll-out of new applications - Provide client support and technical issue resolution via E-mail, phone, and other electronic mediums - Troubleshoot a variety of technical issues customers are facing with their web hosting services - Prioritize and manage multiple open tickets simultaneously Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Computer knowledge and good communication skills, preferably with a B.Tech degree - Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification is preferred - Willingness to work in a 24*7 environment - Experience with Hosting Control Panels such as CPanel, WHM, and Plesk - Basic installation, server security, and server monitoring skills - Excellent understanding of SMTP, HTTP, FTP, IMAP, POP, and Exim - Installation and modification of Apache, Bind, DNS, PHP, MySQL, and Perl - Managing server backup and restore processes - DNS management experience - Ability to work well in a team, adapt to a constantly changing environment, and follow instructions from supervisors and senior colleagues - Confidence, passion, and organizational skills with the ability to multitask using technology and listening effectively - Ability to troubleshoot web hosting and technical procedures as required In addition, you will be expected to be dependable, attend work during assigned shifts, and complete tasks as expected.
