Linux System Admin Level 1

As a Linux System Admin Level 1 at our company, your primary role will be to provide support to our customer base, both directly and indirectly. You will be responsible for interacting with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems in the Hosting Environment. Key Responsibilities: - Treat all customers in a professional and respectful manner - Handle technical support tickets from web hosting customers - Support the roll-out of new applications - Provide client support and resolve technical issues via E-Mail, phone, and other electronic mediums - Troubleshoot various technical issues customers may encounter with their web hosting services - Prioritize and manage multiple open tickets simultaneously Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Computer knowledge and good communication skills, preferably B.Tech. - Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification is preferred - Willingness to work in a 24*7 environment - Experience with Hosting Control Panels (CPanel/WHM/Plesk) - Basic installation, server security, and server monitoring skills - Excellent understanding of SMTP, HTTP, FTP, IMAP, POP, Exim - Installation and modification of Apache, Bind, DNS, PHP, MySQL, Perl - Managing server backup and restore operations - DNS management expertise - Ability to work well in a team, adapt to a changing environment, and follow instructions from supervisors and senior colleagues - Confidence, passion, and strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively - Ability to troubleshoot web hosting and technical procedures as needed In addition to the above, you must be dependable, show up for work during assigned shifts, and complete tasks as expected.
