Primary Job Title:

Linux Systems Engineer (VMware)We are hiring an on-site Linux Engineer to operate and optimise VMware-based virtualised environments at our India facilities. This hands-on role is ideal for engineers who excel at systems reliability, automation, and virtualization in enterprise settings.Role & Responsibilities

Design, deploy and maintain Linux server environments (production and DR) running on VMware virtualization platforms.
Provision and manage VMs, templates, snapshots, resource pools and implement HA/DRS and storage policies in vSphere/vCenter.
Automate configuration and lifecycle tasks using Bash, Ansible and Terraform to deliver repeatable infrastructure-as-code workflows.
Monitor system health, perform capacity planning, and troubleshoot performance, storage, networking and kernel-level issues to meet SLAs.
Execute patching, security hardening, backup/recovery and DR runbooks; remediate vulnerabilities and maintain compliance controls.
Collaborate with platform, network and application teams to onboard workloads, document runbooks and support incident response for production systems.
