Job Description

Role OverviewWe are looking for a skilled Chinese Commi-I to join our culinary team. The role involves preparing, cooking, and presenting authentic Chinese dishes while ensuring consistency, taste, and hygiene standards. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes including noodles, fried rice, soups, stir-fry, sauces, dumplings, and starters as per standard recipes. Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet company standards. Assist CDP and Sous Chef in menu preparation and daily operations. Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards in the kitchen at all times (as per FSSAI norms). Monitor inventory for Chinese ingredients (sauces, spices, noodles, etc.) and report shortages. Minimize food wastage by following proper portion control and storage practices. Support in training commis II/III and kitchen helpers for smooth kitchen functioning. Coordinate with service staff to ensure timely delivery of orders during peak hours. Qualifications & SkillsDiploma/Degree in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts preferred. Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Chinese cuisine. Strong knowledge of wok cooking, sauces, and authentic Chinese flavors. Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Good teamwork, communication, and attention to detail.
