About the Role

Lighting Artist

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement lighting setups in

  Unreal Engine

  for real-time and cinematic workflows.
• Light characters, environments, and props in

  Maya

  for production-quality outputs.
• Perform

  look development, shading, and lighting passes

  to match artistic and technical requirements.
• Execute compositing tasks using

  Nuke, After Effects, or similar tools

  to refine and polish final shots.
• Collaborate with

  art directors, environment artists, animators, and VFX teams

  to enhance mood, storytelling, and visual fidelity.
• Optimize lighting setups for

  real-time performance

  without compromising quality.
• Maintain

  lighting consistency

  across assets, levels, and cinematic sequences.
• Research and implement cutting-edge

  techniques, shaders, and workflows

  to push creative boundaries.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of proven experience as a

  Lighting Artist

  in

  games, film, or animation

  projects.
• Strong proficiency in

  Unreal Engine

  (Lumen, Ray Tracing, Lighting Blueprints).
• Expertise in

  Autodesk Maya

  lighting and rendering pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with

  Compositing tools

  (Nuke, After Effects, Fusion, etc.).
• Solid understanding of

  lighting theory

  (color, shadows, reflections, atmosphere, exposure).
• Knowledge of render engines (

  Arnold, V-Ray, Redshift

  ) is a plus.
• Ability to optimize scenes for

  performance in real-time workflows

  .
• Strong artistic eye with attention to detail and realism.
• Familiarity with

  PBR workflows, shaders, and materials

  .
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
