About the Role

We are looking for a talented Lighting Artist with strong expertise in Unreal Engine, Maya, and Compositing tools to join our creative team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting and optimizing lighting setups for cinematic sequences, real-time renders, and immersive in-game environments. The ideal candidate combines artistic creativity with technical expertise to deliver stunning visuals that balance aesthetics, performance, and storytelling.Key Responsibilities

Design and implement high-quality lighting setups in Unreal Engine for both real-time and cinematic workflows.

Create lighting for characters, props, and environments in Maya to achieve production-ready outputs.

Perform look development, shading adjustments, and lighting passes as per project requirements.

Execute compositing tasks (Nuke, After Effects, or equivalent) to polish shots and elevate visual storytelling.

Collaborate with art directors, animators, VFX artists, and environment teams to ensure cohesive visuals.

Optimize lighting setups for real-time performance without compromising visual fidelity.

Maintain lighting consistency across multiple levels, assets, and sequences.

Research and adopt new techniques, shaders, and workflows to push visual quality standards.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of professional experience as a Lighting Artist in gaming, film, or animation.

Strong proficiency in Unreal Engine (Lumen, Ray Tracing, Lighting Blueprints).

Expertise in Autodesk Maya for lighting and rendering pipelines.

Hands-on experience with Compositing tools (Nuke, After Effects, Fusion, etc.).

Solid understanding of lighting theory (color, shadows, reflections, atmosphere, exposure).

Familiarity with render engines like Arnold, V-Ray, Redshift is a plus.

Ability to optimize scenes for real-time workflows.

Strong artistic eye with keen attention to detail, mood, and realism.

Knowledge of PBR workflows, shaders, and materials.

Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
