Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Lighting Automation Engineer for a full-time, mid-level position based in Mumbai. The role is tailored for professionals with hands-on experience in lighting design and automation systems, ideally suited to candidates passionate about innovative building technologies and urban development solutions. Qualifications and Skills

• Expertise in lighting design (Mandatory skill) with proven capability to conceptualize, implement, and validate high-quality lighting solutions for diverse built environments.
• Solid foundational knowledge and hands-on experience with KNX, providing effective integration and automation of building electrical systems.
• Proficiency in Lutron systems to plan, configure, and troubleshoot advanced lighting control applications in luxury and commercial projects.
• Experience working with DALI lighting control protocols, enabling flexible and energy-efficient illumination across complex installations.
• Competency in using AGI 32 lighting design software for accurate simulation, photometric analysis, and compliance documentation for large-scale projects.
• Demonstrable skill in AutoCAD for producing precise lighting layouts, system schematics, and technical documentation critical for project execution.
• In-depth understanding of lighting control principles, covering dimming strategies, occupancy sensing, and automated scene management for optimum efficiency.
• Prior experience designing, commissioning, and maintaining Lighting Control Systems to ensure user-centric functionality and long-term reliability.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly, work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and contractors, and adapt to evolving technology trends.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and execute lighting automation systems for premium residential, hospitality, healthcare, and commercial developments ensuring project goals and industry standards are met.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to integrate lighting automation seamlessly with other building systems and design intent.
• Create detailed lighting layouts, system schematics, and technical documentation using AutoCAD and relevant design software.
• Configure, program, and commission control protocols such as KNX, Lutron, and DALI to achieve desired lighting scenarios and automation requirements.
• Utilize AGI 32 to perform photometric calculations, simulate lighting effects, and ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory guidelines.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve lighting control system issues during installation, commissioning, and maintenance phases to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct site inspections, supervise quality of lighting installations, and coordinate with cross-functional teams for timely project delivery.
• Stay current with advancements in lighting automation, energy regulations, sustainability practices, and recommend improvements for ongoing and future projects.
