Librarian and Researcher

You are an established and hard-working individual with a minimum of 5 years of experience working with library databases, seeking an opportunity to join the team at Saffronart in Mumbai. You will be responsible for managing the reference library and contributing to various departmental research requirements. Your excellent organisational and record-keeping skills, ability to adhere to tight deadlines, and comfort with database management systems are crucial for this role. The compensation offered will be commensurate with your experience. Responsibilities: - Manage and maintain all records related to the reference library, including the online library module - Oversee the circulation of library materials, tracking due return dates, and following up with team members when necessary - Conduct regular checks and updates on inventory and database information - Supervise the digitisation of the library and coordinate with the external digitising agency as needed - Assist the Client Relations, Editorial, and Marketing teams in sourcing reference material - Support research-related tasks and ensure the accuracy of sources and research material Requirements: - Graduate/Postgraduate degree - Previous experience in library database management is essential - Familiarity and comfort with various database management systems - Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail - Ability to work as a team player, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines - Good interpersonal and communication skills in written and spoken English - Background in or knowledge about Indian art is preferred To apply, please send your updated resume and a cover letter expressing your interest in this role to [email protected],
