Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Liaison Officer to join our team in a Pvt. Ltd. company. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with government offices, particularly the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), to ensure smooth operations and achieve our business goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Government Liaison:

    • Focus on liaising with BMC offices, navigating procedures, and obtaining necessary permits and approvals for the company's operations.
    • Build and maintain positive working relationships with BMC officials.
    • Proactively stay updated on relevant BMC regulations, policies, and deadlines.
    • Represent the company effectively in interactions with BMC departments.
    • Resolve any issues or roadblocks arising from BMC requirements in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communication and Collaboration:

    • Act as a point of contact for internal teams regarding all matters related to BMC interactions.
    • Facilitate clear and timely communication between internal department and BMC representatives.
    • Prepare reports and presentations to keep internal teams informed of BMC updates and requirements.
    • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., legal, operations) to ensure compliance with BMC regulations.
  • Information Management:

    • Conduct research and stay informed on relevant changes in BMC processes and regulations.
    • Maintain comprehensive records of all communication and interactions with BMC offices.
    • Prepare and track applications for permits and approvals, ensuring adherence to deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • HSC or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum [5-10 years] of experience in a liaison role within a Pvt. Ltd. company, with a demonstrably successful track record of liaising with government offices, particularly the BMC.
  • In-depth knowledge of BMC procedures, regulations, and policies relevant to the company's industry.
  • Written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex regulations in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, adept at building rapport with government officials.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
