Loss & Prevention Officer

• Patrolling assigned areas to detect and deter theft or vandalism

• Monitoring and reviewing security footage

• Investigating incidents of theft or other security concerns

• Working with law enforcement in the apprehension of suspects

• Implementing security measures to prevent future incidents

• Completing detailed reports on security-related issues

• Providing testimony in legal proceedings related to security breaches

• Training other staff on security protocols and procedures

• Maintaining a strong knowledge of security best practices and current trends

• Collaborating with management to assess and improve security protocols and strategies

Responsibilities:

• Patrol assigned areas to detect and deter theft or vandalism

• Monitor and review security footage to identify potential security risks

• Investigate incidents of theft or security concerns thoroughly

• Work with law enforcement to apprehend suspects when necessary

• Implement security measures to prevent future security breaches

• Complete detailed reports on security incidents for documentation

• Provide testimony in legal proceedings related to security breaches if required

• Train other staff members on security protocols and procedures

• Maintain a strong knowledge of current security best practices and trends

• Collaborate with management to assess and enhance security protocols and strategies

Requirements:

• Previous experience in security-related roles preferred

• Knowledge of security protocols and procedures

• Ability to remain calm and think quickly in high-pressure situations

• Strong observational and investigative skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for long periods

• Certification in CPR and First Aid may be required

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
