Job Description

  • Legal Process Optimization:

    • Identify, analyze, and implement improvements in legal department workflows and processes.
    • Develop and document standardized processes to enhance efficiency and consistency in legal operations.
    • Streamline contract management processes, including template creation and implementation of contract lifecycle tools.
  • Technology & Systems Management:

    • Manage and implement legal technology tools, including contract management systems, e-billing platforms, and knowledge management systems.
    • Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve the overall efficiency of the legal team.
    • Oversee the data management strategy, ensuring effective tracking, reporting, and accessibility.
  • Project Management & Coordination:

    • Lead and manage cross-functional projects that support the legal departments goals, including integration with other business functions (e.g., finance, HR, IT).
    • Act as a liaison between the legal department and other internal teams to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.
    • Oversee budgeting and forecasting for the legal department.
  • Vendor & External Counsel Management:

    • Manage relationships with external law firms, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost-effective legal services.
    • Oversee billing and budgeting for external legal services, ensuring compliance with company guidelines.
    • Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance.
  • Legal Department Strategy & Reporting:

    • Provide regular updates on legal operations to the General Counsel and senior leadership.
    • Develop and present operational metrics to measure the department’s efficiency, effectiveness, and cost management.
    • Implement and manage KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for the legal team’s performance.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:

    • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policies related to legal operations.
    • Coordinate with the compliance team to implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Team Support & Development:

    • Mentor and train junior legal ops staff, helping them develop professionally within the legal operations domain.
    • Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment for the legal department.
