Wipro is hiring an experienced
IP Counsel
to join its in-house legal team in either Bengaluru or Pune. The role focuses on intellectual property strategy, technology contracting, and supporting legal matters across advanced technology domains.
Job Details
- Position/Vacancies: IP Counsel (1 Position)
- Job Type: Full-time (On-site)
- Experience: 3–6 years of experience in Intellectual Property (in-house IP experience preferred).
- Location: Bengaluru and Pune (On-site, office-based)
- Salary/Benefits: competitive; based on experience and internal policy

- Intellectual Property (Patents, Copyright, Trademark, Trade Secrets)
- Technology Contracting & Licensing (SaaS/PaaS/Cloud)
- IP Strategy & Brand Protection
- Patent Prosecution & Analytics
Eligibility & Requirements
- Legal Qualification: LL.B./LL.M from a recognised institution.
- Technical Qualification (Mandatory): B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, or Instrumentation & Control.
- Experience: 3–6 years in Intellectual Property; in-house IP experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of software and telecom technologies (GenAI, IoT, telecom, cloud, etc.).
- Experience in contract management, preferably in a technology company.
- Highly self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, and strong problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and advise on software licensing agreements, technology transfer agreements (SaaS/PaaS/Cloud), MSAs, SOWs, and IP clauses in commercial documents.
- Provide advice on patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, and general IP strategy.
- Support patent drafting, prosecution, and patent analytics (preferred).
- Assist with IP disputes, domain disputes, and brand-protection matters.
- Coordinate with external counsel as required.
