Legal & Commercial Counsel

As an Employee at LIXIL INDIA PVT LTD, your role involves supporting business operations by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and commercial agreements. You will liaise with various teams including business, marketing, compliance, HR, tax, and finance to ensure timely legal input on business initiatives. Additionally, you will collaborate with global COE teams to address issues impacting India businesses in areas such as IPR and data privacy. Your primary responsibilities will include handling litigations, managing external counsel, and utilizing new technology for the legal function. You should be familiar with Contract Lifecycle Management tools and Compliance Management Systems. Furthermore, you will support special projects like internal process improvements, audit and regulatory responses, real estate expansion, e-commerce, and providing legal & advisory support to Global Capability Center (India) and HR global shared services. Moreover, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of internal templates, playbooks, and policies to streamline deal/commercial processes. Monitoring and interpreting relevant regulatory developments across key IMEA jurisdictions, with a focus on India, to advise on potential transaction impacts, is also part of your responsibilities. Lastly, you will be involved in developing and delivering training and guidance on legal topics to mitigate risks and enhance the efficiency of legal services. Qualifications: - Bachelors in law from a reputed college in India - Additional qualification of Masters in law or CS is preferred What We Are Looking For: - 8+ years of PQE with relevant experience in MNCs - Transaction advisory experience in law firms is an added advantage - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
