We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Associate to join our office in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of hands-on experience in legal documentation and compliance, with exposure to both Indian and international legal frameworks. This role offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your legal acumen, particularly in contract law, KYC procedures including bank KYC, FATCA/CRS, secretarial matters etc.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drafting, reviewing, and revising contracts, agreements, and legal documents.

2. Closure of banks, clients’ and suppliers’ KYC requirements.

3. Assisting in regulatory compliance matters with Indian and international laws and other regulatory requirements.

4. Researching legal precedents, statutes, regulations, and case law to support legal opinions.

5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure legal risk mitigation.

6. Maintaining organized legal files and documentation for easy retrieval and audit readiness.

7. Drafting agendas, notices and conducting board meetings, committee meetings, preparing board minutes etc.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in law (LL.B.) from a recognized institution and qualified Company Secretary from ICSI.

2. 2-3 years of experience in legal documentation, contract management, regulatory compliance, company secretarial duties.

3. Strong understanding of Indian legal systems and exposure to international legal practices.

4. Excellent drafting, analytical, and research skills.

5. Proficiency in MS Office and legal research tools.

6. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
