Role Purpose
MetaApply is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Legal Associate
to support the organization s legal and compliance functions. The role involves drafting and reviewing contracts, managing compliance requirements, assisting in litigation matters, and ensuring adherence to applicable legal and regulatory frameworks. The Legal Associate will work closely with internal stakeholders and external counsel to safeguard the company s business interests. Key Responsibilities:
Legal Drafting & Review
Draft, review, and assist in negotiating contracts, MoUs, agreements, and other legal documents.
Prepare legal notices, replies, and correspondence with accuracy and timeliness.
Compliance & Governance
Support the implementation and monitoring of MetaApply s compliance framework.
Assist in due diligence activities and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Help review and update internal policies, SOPs, and compliance documentation.
Litigation & Dispute Support
Assist in handling litigation matters, legal notices, and dispute-related documentation.
Coordinate with external legal counsel, regulatory bodies, and authorities as required.
Support investigation and complaint management processes.
Legal Advisory & Risk Support
Provide legal support to internal teams on contracts, compliance, and risk-related queries.
Identify potential legal risks and escalate issues with mitigation recommendations.
Documentation & Record Management
Maintain and update a centralized repository of contracts, MoUs, and legal documents.
Ensure proper documentation, version control, and confidentiality of legal records.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Law (LLB) is mandatory; LLM is an added advantage.
3-4 years of experience in a Legal or Compliance role.
Experience in contract drafting, review, and basic negotiation.
Exposure to litigation support, legal notices, and regulatory compliance.
Working knowledge of compliance frameworks and due diligence processes.
Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
High standards of ethics, integrity, and professionalism.
