Lead Test Engineer

As a Lead Test Engineer at DTCC, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all applications and systems meet defined quality standards. Your responsibilities will include system integration testing, automation, translating business requirements into tangible results, and leading test automation strategies. You will work closely with collaborators from various technical teams and be accountable for test plan development, execution, and maintenance. **Role Overview:** In this role, you will independently lead Test Engineering teams at DTCC. You will be responsible for system integration testing, automation, and translating business requirements into concrete results. Your role will involve developing test plans, implementing corresponding test procedures, and ensuring process compliance and associated documentation. **Key Responsibilities:** - Responsible for system integration testing, including automation, of newly developed or enhanced applications. - Translate business and functional requirements into tangible results. - Lead and advise on test automation strategies and provide critical feedback in various phases. - Partner with collaborators from different technical teams. - Track test execution milestones, report issues, and risks potentially affecting project timelines. - Construct end-to-end business scenarios based on a broad understanding of business objectives. - Responsible for Delivery Pipeline adoption and identifying dependencies for environmental and data requirements. - Contribute to standard framework of reusable functions and develop a thorough understanding of the product(s) being delivered. - Responsible for process compliance, documentation, aligning risk and control processes, and escalating appropriately. - Work closely with business and technical experts to continually improve knowledge for assigned applications/systems. - Responsible for Project Coordination and Technical Management tasks. **Qualifications:** - 5-7 years of related experience in delivering software solutions with hands-on automated testing. - Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience. **Additional Details:** DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid work model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote, comprehensive health and life insurance, pension/retirement benefits, paid time off, personal/family care leaves, and well-being benefits based on location. **Talents Needed for Success:** - Experience in Agile/Waterfall, onsite/offshore work model, and coordination. - In-depth knowledge of software implementation lifecycle, testing methodologies, and processes. - Proficiency in automation at all software layers and CI/CD technologies. - Extensive experience with frontend and backend test automation. - Strong skills in Java, Selenium, SQL queries, JIRA, ALM, Bitbucket, Git, Jenkins, etc. - Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills. - Experience in mentoring junior test engineers and working independently or as part of a team. - Unix, Python, and AWS experience is a plus.
