Lead Technical Architect

Role & responsibilities

1. Fluent in reading, writing, and conversing in both Japanese & English languages to establish good coordination and communication with Customer, Onsite and Offshore teams

2. Ready to work in JST morning hours as required to extend the support for Application transition and stabilization phases of Application Design, Development, Testing and Maintenance projects

3. Lead the design and technical architecture of frontend solutions using React, Angular, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

4. Define UI/UX standards aligned with global insurance UX best practices (WCAG, responsive design, localization).

5. Translate complex insurance processes (policy admin, claims, collections) into intuitive user journeys for Japanese and international audiences.

6. Oversee frontend integration with API and backend services.

7. Review and optimize client-side performance, accessibility (Japanese/English), and security.

8. Support creation of wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and architectural documentation.

9. Collaborate with backend, QA, and business teams to deliver seamless web experiences.

10. Champion best practices in reusability and accessibility standards for insurance web interfaces.

Must have Skills

1. JLPT N3 or N2 certified. Fluent in reading, writing, and conversing in Japanese with native speakers

2. Must have 5 to 10 years of IT experience in Application Design, Development, Testing and Maintenance projects

3. Knowledge and hands on experience in Fullstack technologies including Typescript/JavaScript, HTML/CSS, React, Angular, NextJS, Express/Fastify

4. Experience in the scan, build and deployment tools such as Jira, Jenkins, GitHub, Kibana, Splunk, Dynatrace, SonarQube, Confluence, etc.

5. Ability to effectively coordinate with Customer SMEs, Onsite and Offshore teams

6. Actively involve in Application transition and stabilization phases by aligning to Japan (JST) working hours
