Lead Software Engineer - React Developer

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset and Wealth Management, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm s business objectives. Job responsibilities Develop new user-facing features using React.js and Next.js. Utilize extensive hands-on experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript to enhance front-end development. Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use. Optimize components for maximum performance across a wide range of web-capable devices and browsers. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and user experience. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Stay up-to-date with emerging front-end technologies and best practices. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model. Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles. Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Redux or Flux). Familiarity with newer specifications of ECMAScript (ES6+). Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js). Familiarity with RESTful APIs. Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements. A knack for benchmarking and optimization. Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git. Strong understanding of UX principles and ability to create intuitive user interfaces. Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, product owners, designers, and platform teams.
