Lead Software Engineer

As the MES Software Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for leading software development and configuration in Manufacturing Execution System projects. Your responsibilities in this role will include leading the detail design, implementation, and testing of MES solutions for MES projects based on the Emerson MES platform - Syncade following standard methodologies. You will design, implement, and test a full stack of Syncade MES technologies on Lifesciences Projects, utilizing technologies such as ASP.Net, C#, MVC, SQL, VB Script, and VB.Net. Engaging with project collaborators and customers, you will conduct workshops to gather and analyze requirements, define functional requirements, and review software solutions. Working with Solution Architects/SMEs, you will ensure that functional design and development align with user requirements, solution guidelines, and standards. Additionally, you will develop Webpart, Batch Reports, and integrate with L2, L3, and L4 systems such as ERP integrations (Oracle EBS, SAP, LIMS, CMMS, etc.), create and maintain project documentation, proactively manage team communications, organize project team work, report progress status, identify and address risks, and ensure prompt resolution of issues. As the ideal candidate, you should possess a minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in software development, experience in full-life cycle implementation in key functional roles, familiarity with agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA/Azure, the ability to lead a team, and proficiency in skills such as C#, WCF, ASP.Net, MVC, jQuery, JavaScript, CSS, VB.net, Web Services, XML, UML, XSLT, MS SQL Server, and various tools like Visual Studio, VB editor, SQL profiler, SOAP UI tool, and project tracking tools (TFS/Jira). You should also have the ability to learn new concepts, demonstrate persistence, self-motivation, follow-through, commitment, and possess strong analytical skills. Preferred qualifications that set you apart include a Bachelor of Engineering in Computers/Electronics/Instrumentation or an MSC in Computers from a reputed university, 6-8 years of proven work experience as a Software developer with experience as a Software Lead, familiarity with MES (Syncade/Werum PASX/Rockwell Pharma Suite/Opcenter/Camstar, etc.) and the Life Sciences industry.
