As the Lead Software Engineer, your role will involve driving the architecture, design, and development of high-performance applications. You will need to combine technical expertise with leadership skills to ensure the delivery of scalable, secure, and business-driven solutions. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading and mentoring a team of Java developers to foster technical excellence and collaboration. - Taking ownership of system architecture and design decisions to ensure scalability and robustness. - Driving end-to-end software development, including requirement analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support. - Conducting thorough code reviews and enforcing best practices in coding, testing, and deployment. - Working closely with cross-functional teams such as QA, DevOps, Product, and Project Management. - Troubleshooting and resolving development and production issues with minimal turnaround time. - Managing project priorities, timelines, and ensuring high-quality, timely deliverables. - Evaluating and adopting emerging tools, frameworks, and practices to improve efficiency and system quality. Your required technical skills for this role include: - Strong proficiency in Java (8+), including Core Java and advanced features. - Expertise in the Spring Framework, specifically Spring Core, Spring MVC, and Spring Boot. - Practical experience in designing and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices for Microservices architecture. - Strong skills in Hibernate/JPA for ORM and database interaction. - Solid understanding and application of OOP & Design Patterns in enterprise-grade projects. - Proficiency with build & versioning tools like Maven/Gradle, Git, and JIRA. - Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or containerized environments would be advantageous. In terms of qualifications, you should have: - A Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - A proven track record of 1-2 years in a team lead or senior developer role. - Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills. - The ability to manage priorities independently with minimal supervision. - Prior experience in a product-based organization is mandatory, with exposure to IoT or Telematics products considered an added advantage.
