Lead Software Engineer — Path to Founding Head of Eng / Tech Co-Founder

What you’ll own (First 90-days)
  • Lead the frontend: performance (virtualisation, code-split), accessibility, background-job center & real-time UX.
  • Ship

    SSO (SAML/OIDC)

    ,

    RBAC

    , and

    audit trails

    end-to-end.
  • Build

    org admin & analytics

    (usage dashboards, exports).
  • Make releases safe:

    canary/rollback

    ,

    safe migrations

    ,

    feature flags

    .
  • Wire

    observability

    (SLIs/SLOs, traces, synthetic checks) and run

    backups/PITR + DR drill

    .
Must-haves
  • 5+ yrs

    React/Next.js + TypeScript

    in production.
  • Built

    multi-tenant SaaS

    with

    SSO/RBAC

    and

    audit logging

    .
  • CI/CD with

    zero-downtime

    deploys;

    safe DB migrations

    ; on-call/incident scars.
  • Real-time UX (WebSockets/SSE/polling) and background-job progress UIs.
  • Practical

    observability

    (metrics/logs/traces) and

    security hygiene

    (JWT, least-privilege, PII-safe logging).
Nice to have

EVERYTHING ELSE... but specifically SCIM / WorkOS/Auth0, queues & DLQs, Postgres chops, vector/RAG tenancy.
