About the Role: Tide is currently seeking a talented UX Designer/Product Designer to join its Design System team. In this role, you will work closely with a small team and report to the Design Systems Lead. Leveraging your expertise in interaction, visual design, and prototyping, you will spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall experience for Tide members and optimizing the product development process for the internal teams. Your responsibilities will involve ensuring design quality across various aspects of UI, illustration, motion, and more. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with Engineers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to maintain design standards, provide feedback on design usage, and promote best practices while supporting the development and brand teams. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating and enhancing the usability and accessibility of components within the design system, as well as contributing to user research efforts where relevant. By bringing fresh ideas to the table and defining next-generation interfaces, you will play a crucial role in elevating the design standards at Tide. What We Are Looking For: The ideal candidate for this role should have at least 5 years of experience working in Product teams as a Design System specialist. Your portfolio should demonstrate your proficiency in creating or significantly contributing to design systems, with a minimum of 2 years dedicated to working on such systems. Experience in designing for multiple platforms, such as Web, iOS, and Android, is essential, along with expertise in Figma. You should possess excellent presentation and documentation skills, a keen eye for visual design and brand consistency, and a strong commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in product design. Collaboration is key in this role, so you must be comfortable working independently as well as with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment. Moreover, you should be an effective communicator, open to feedback, and proactive in delivering results.
